Wake up with a Smile!

There's always time in the morning to make something delicious and packed full of goodness!  Most mornings I create a quick thick fruit milkshake as part of my "five a day " fruit and veg consumption.  It always makes me smile when I drain the glass of this most scrummy liquid breakfast epsecially when it leaves that tell tale milky lipstick mark and you have to tidy yourself up afterwards....Hey I guess I must be drinking it too fast!

All you need is:       Frozen fruit, I used a mix of red berries, natural yoghurt, honey to sweeten and milk. (you can also pop in any fresh fruit you have too)

Just pouring the milk in!  Then take a kitchen hand blitzer tool and blitz until the fruit is broken up, the one you use to blend soup with, or you can also use a mixer blender.  (I use the hand held tool as it can go in any tall jug and blended in seconds.)  I don't over blend as the frozen fruit keeps that chilled thick shake consistency.

All finished off with a natural yoghurt heart.  Made with love!  Now thats gonna make you smile.

Have a great, happy day....enjoy and make new happy memories!

  1. Good Morning Debbie! Well good afternoon to you but it IS morning here in Kansas. OH MY GOODNESS...I'm in love with your cottage. I don't care about the mess...you should see our little farm cottage ;) Life is messy you know :) Thank you for stopping by and leaving a kind comment! Those scrapbook pages were my first effort back in 2002...I did manage to improve over the years hehe. To tell you the truth I haven't done any scrapbooking other than the odd card in at least 4 years but I'd like to start up again...this time I'd like to try a bit of digital scrapbooking. Have you tried it? I read your story...that's such a shame about your husbands sister and the loss of your dear furry friend. It can certainly hit hard when the kids leave home especially when they leave earlier than expected. I think we parents need a bit of time to get used to the idea BEFORE they actually leave don't you think? My sister lives in Essex or did...she lived in Hornchurch for over 40 years but now lives in (I'm not sure If I have this right) Feering Colchester. I LOVE England and hopefully I'll go back soon...I haven't seen my sister since the trip in 99! I look forward to seeing more photo's of your cottage...especially all your little nooks and crannies and fireplaces and beams...I guess I want to see it all LOL! I do understand how you feel though so I'm content to wait until you're ready to show us more. I'll be sitting here tapping my fingers though ;) Thanks for being brave and sharing what you have with us. I hope you and your family have a wonderful day!

  2. I wrote so much I forgot to tell you how delicious this drink looks! I'll have to give this a try as this is grocery day so I'll pick up the ingredients today. Thanks for passing this along.

  3. Do you defrost the berries or blitz them straight from the freezer?

  4. My OH is coping with the big C at the moment and is losing weight . I'm going to try this as a change - actually as well as - his 2 slices of toast in a morning. It will be a good way of getting calories into him as well as some of his 5 a day. Thanks for sharing.
